OTR Cursive (Summer 2025)
Over the Rainbow families, this class is just for you! Mrs. Kristin will be at South Broadland Presbyterian Church (almost) every Tuesday morning this summer at 8:00 a.m. to teach cursive handwriting to any interested OTR campers going into fifth or sixth grades. Here’s how it works:

The full cursive program is four weeks. Mrs. Kristin will be at OTR on seven Tuesdays (listed below). Your student needs to come to at least four of the seven dates to complete the program. Choose any dates you like; come to four, come to five, come to all of them! The more practice the kids have, the better.
It’s totally okay if you have a MWF camper; they can still take the class. Pick them up at 8:50 a.m. when class is over.
Mrs. Kristin’s cursive instruction is based on the Palmer method, which focuses on basic shapes and arm movements while building strength and stamina. We’re not striving for perfect, copy-plate writing; the goal is to help each student develop their own legible style of cursive. As they learn to write cursive, they’ll also learn how to read it.
Class price includes a $10 supply fee. Lefties welcome!
