Anyone who has written with Mrs. Kristin has heard it at least once: “Nobody in the world is a good writer. Not Stephen King, not Margaret Atwood, not Rick Riordan. They’re great revisers.”
Like anything else, revision is a skill that takes practice. Instruction helps, as does a second opinion and some encouragement along the way. We’ll start the process during this week of learning, sharing, and rewriting.
Open to rising 8th–post 12th graders. (Younger students are welcome to join on a case-by-case basis.) Students should have a first draft that is either finished or well in-progress that they’d like to start to revise.
Dates: June 22–26, 1:30–3:30 p.m.
